The Moore House is one of Minneapolis’ most recognized historic residences. Preserved for its architectural character, craftsmanship, and cultural significance, the home contains original architectural elements, restored finishes, antique fixtures, and curated furnishings.
Guests staying at The Moore House are welcomed not only as visitors, but as temporary stewards of the property. We ask that all guests treat the home, its furnishings, and its historic features with the same care and respect that has allowed it to remain a treasured landmark.
-
Guests agree to the following:
Large or heavy furnishings - including sofas, dining tables, beds, cabinets, or other substantial pieces - may not be moved under any circumstances without explicit approval or assistance from management, as doing so may damage historic flooring, woodwork, or architectural elements. Management defines “large” furniture as anything that requires more than one person to move.
Guests may not rearrange rooms or remove furniture in order to create open space for gatherings or activities not permitted under this Lodging Agreement.
No nails, screws, adhesives, mounting materials, or alterations to walls, woodwork, stone, tile, or finishes.
No confetti, glitter, smoke effects, open flames, or decorative materials that may stain or damage surfaces.
Guests may not stand on furnishings, railings, or architectural features.
Any accidental damage must be reported to management immediately.
Guests are financially responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. Due to the historic nature of the Property, certain materials, finishes, and architectural elements - including original woodwork, fixtures, and millwork - may require specialized restoration or may not be readily replaceable. As a result, repair or replacement costs may exceed standard residential repair costs. Travel insurance is strongly encouraged.
-
This Lodging Agreement does not permit parties, public events, or large gatherings.
At no time shall the total number of individuals present on the Property exceed thirty (30) persons without a separately executed Event Agreement and event insurance on file.
Any gathering exceeding this threshold, or any gathering that functions as a party, ticketed event, commercial function, or organized reception, shall be considered an Event and is not permitted under this Agreement.
Owner reserves the right to terminate occupancy immediately, without refund, if unauthorized events or disruptive gatherings occur.
-
